PAYROLL SERVICE

Almost As Good As Mum is happy to offer families a pay roll service through the agency. This service is not only offered to families who have found a nanny through the agency but to others who would like the convenience of this service.

The reason why most families use this service is to help you with the paperwork that comes with being an employer. We work out how much you need to deduct from your nanny's wages; submit all the remittances to the Government by the correct date of every month. Year end processing and tax form production (T4), record of employment.

You are still the employer but the pay roll becomes a function of Almost As Good As Mum Nanny Agency Ltd. You will be invoiced every two weeks after you have notified the agency of the hours your nanny has worked for you.

1. The hours the nanny worked multiplied by the agreed hourly rate times the pay per hour.
2. Your portion of the CPP and EI
3. Plus the agency fee for this service as follows

(a) Set up fee $30.00 per person. (This will be waived if you find a nanny through the agency)
(b) Biweekly charge per pay period $13.00 per person
(c) Process of T4 $25.00 per person
(d) Record of employment $15.00 per person
(e) Late fee for payment per pay period $25.00* (see below)
(f) Payment for returned cheques $25.00* (see below) plus charges from the bank

We request that you phone the office on a biweekly arrangement and follow the schedule of payments. Schedule of dates will be sent to you if you sign on for this service. If you are late submitting your hours or the office has not received the payment by the required date your nanny will not be paid in that period.

All pay roll hours have to be submitted by the Friday for the past two weeks that the nanny has worked for you. You will be invoiced by the Monday and payment has to be received by the office by the following Friday. Your nanny will be paid by direct deposit straight into her account and receipts will be sent out.

*If there is an issue from late payment or returned cheques you may be asked to pay a deposit of the average pay per period for your nanny.

As per Revenue Canada all employees are entitled to holiday pay, Almost As Good As Mum will accrue the holiday pay calculated at 4% at every pay period and when your nanny takes any holiday you will be billed for the amount to be paid.
